Twenty-eight birders joined me (Luis Gonzalez) for a bird walk today at A.D. Barnes Park. Similar to previous trips, we had to split into groups one led by me and the other by TAS Field Trip Leader Bill Boeringer. Nearly sixty species species were seen between the two groups. Some of the highlights were over a dozen species of warbler including close up views of Magnolia, Bay-breasted and Tennessee Warblers, Baltimore and Spot-breasted Oriole, the first Yellow-bellied Sapsucker of the season, and both species of Buntings (Painted and Indigo) in good numbers. The eBird checklist for the walk is here. Picture shown below is of one of the confiding Bay-breasted Warblers seen today.
