TAS Walk to Wakodahatchee & Peaceful Waters 1/20/24

Approximately 30 birders joined me on this walk today. Wakodahatchee was was full of Black-bellied Whistling Ducks, at least 100. There was a flight of 40 White-winged Doves over the parking lot and all the other usual suspects were found inside. Wood storks, Cattle Egrets, Anhingas, Great Blue Herons were all figuring out and building their nesting sites. There was also a flight of 100+ Rock Doves. Purple Martins were scouting.
Peaceful Waters was incredible. Many Limpkins, Mottled Ducks, Blue-winged Teal, a Mallard/Mottled was mixed in. Also 2 Solitary Sandpipers, a Peregrine Falcon, Wigeons, only 3 Coots, lots of Purple Gallinules and Common Gallinules. Brian will hopefully post the E-bird results as a comment to this post before he’s off to Tierra Del Fuego tonight.
